Registration Filings

Fees for a boat registration vary depending upon the size of the boat. We request that customers complete an application form containing all the pertinent information for a boat registration filing. Depending upon the type of filing, we may also need one or more of the following documents:

  • Certificate of Origin - if a newly constructed boat
  • Notarized Bill of Sale - if the boat was already registered and has been sold
  • Original Title - if the boat is titled in another state or country

Renewal Filings

Boat registrations must be renewed annually with the Division of Fish and Wildlife. Registrations are effective through the end of the calendar year in which they are filed, and boat renewal filings can be submitted for the following calendar year beginning November 1.

Deletion Filings

To revoke a boat registration in the state of Delaware, a Certificate of Deletion can be requested from the Division of Fish and Wildlife. CorpAmerica can assist with this revocation order for a $40.00 service fee.
