3 Things You Should Know Before Buying a Logo

Have you ever noticed that the logos of Fortune 500 companies tend to be clean, distinct and uncomplicated (e.g., Nike, Sprint, Lexus)? That's because successful branding starts with the right logo - one that's professional, memorable and adaptable to all your sales tools. Unfortunately, not all logos are created equal. Some look good, but they don't meet the key criteria needed to help you brand your company:

1. Your logo should re-size without losing detail.

A great logo is not overdrawn or complex, so it can be made smaller without losing detail. LogoYes logos work on everything, from business cards to wall-sized posters.

2. Your logo should look good in black and white.

A great logo must look good on business forms, faxes, checks and other one-color materials. Logos that rely on lots of color are also expensive to print.

3. Your logo should be easy to remember.

An overdrawn logo is hard for people to recognize and connect with your company. Our logos are design-optimized for fast memory filing and retrieval - just like Fortune 500 companies.

Branding isn't just for big companies. LogoYes logos and our other SmartBrand products give you a Madison-Avenue look for a fraction of the cost.

 The Original Do-it-Yourself Logo Site

- Try-before-you-buy

- No design experience necessary

LogoYes.com was created by the founders of the full-service advertising agency Logic Design, whose Fortune 100 clients included Mitsubishi, Caterpillar and Hewlett-Packard. The patent-pending LogoYes process is based on the same process graphic designers use - giving you a professional logo for a fraction of the cost.

How does LogoYes compare to other logo sites?

LogoYes is the original do-it-yourself ("DIY") logo website. Our patent-pending process lets you create your own professional-quality logo online in minutes. No design experience or special software is required, and the process is fast, easy and FREE! Final files are just $99.

LogoYes is also the only DIY logo site designed to help you brand your company. You create your logo, and our designers can make your other sales materials match, including business cards, brochures and postcards. Having a strong, unified image adds value to your company and helps build brand loyalty among customers.

All LogoYes symbols were developed by professional designers and illustrators. In fact, our site's superior quality and ease of use have made it one of the Web's most popular design sites. Our professional, affordable design products equip small businesses to compete with big ones.

I'm not a designer. Can I do this?

Yes! Tens of thousands of entrepreneurs just like you already have. No design experience or special software skills are required. Step-by-step instructions, a flexible process and get-you-started creative tools (like our exclusive Image Calculator) make it easy to create just the right logo for your company.

What's your "try-before-you-buy" process?

Just five quick steps and you're done:

1) Choose an image (look)

2) Find your industry

3) Select a symbol

4) Add your company name

5) Create a layout. High-resolution files (print-ready and Web-ready) are just $99

Can I trademark my logo?

Yes. What makes a logo unique is the combination of the symbol with the company name, its colors and their spatial relationship (layout). Therefore, although LogoYes retains the copyright to the symbol you choose, you can still trademark your logo.

What file formats do I receive and how do I use them?

You will receive everything you need for printing and the Internet: a vector-based EPS file, a JPG file and a GIF file. Use the EPS for professionally printed materials, the JPG for laser printing and a GIF or JPG for your website. (NOTE: Opening an EPS requires special software.)

What kinds of symbols will be available to me for use in creating my logo?

Our vast database of over 20,000 symbols includes objects (like an apple), abstract designs (like a "swoosh") and alphanumeric symbols (like an "A") in a variety of illustrative styles. You can search by industry, keyword and/or image.

What if I can't find the right symbols for my company?

For a nominal fee, we'll create a Custom Symbol based on your specifications. Custom symbols are available for purchase on Step 3. Non-exclusive Custom Symbols remain in our database for future use. If you purchase an Exclusive Custom Symbol, you own the copyright and your symbol is yours alone.
